This is a 7 day experience in Havana Cuba that is focused on family and community health. Students will visit several health clinics and have the opportunity to learn about the Cuban health care delivery system. Also included will be two lectures and several experiences on the Cuban culture.
During the embedded travel component, housing will consist of housing information not available at this time.
The process for enrolling in an embedded course varies according to the instructor and/or department. The program leader has indicated that in order to enroll in the course and travel component, students in the RN to BSN and BSN program students at Behrend will have first priority, then RN to BSN program students at University Park, and then Graduate students. Students will submit an email of interest in participating. Faculty will maintain roster until all positions are filled. Students must be senior-level students OR be enrolled in the RN to BSN program OR be graduate students in the College of Nursing.
