The Seville Advanced Liberal Arts program focuses on advanced language and cultural immersion, and offers courses in humanities and social sciences. he program begins with a 3-week intensive course (Social History of Contemporary Spain). During the remainder of the semester you will enroll in 3 courses in a Spanish university setting; the fourth course may be a CIEE Center course, a business and society course offering, or an additional course at the University of Seville or the University Pablo de Olavide. You will receive credit for all academic courses taken at this institution, and all of your grades from abroad will count toward your Penn State cumulative GPA. You may not take any courses overseas on a Pass/Fail basis. Students may not take sport or physical activity courses (e.g. sailing, bowling, yoga, etc.) abroad. These courses will not be credited at Penn State. Students must register for a minimum of 15 credits/22.5 Quarter Hours per semester; students can register for a maximum of 17 credits/25.5 Quarter Hours per semester. 1 Quarter Hour = 0.3 PSU credits.

Beginning Fall 2015, Advanced Liberal Arts is the only track on which Spanish Majors can earn credit in Seville.
Housing and Meals
Your housing will be arranged by CIEE. Some housing options will be:

Off-campus Residencias with international and Spanish students - meals are not included

Financial Aid & Scholarships
Penn State students studying through Education Abroad can use most components of their existing financial aid packages toward the cost of study abroad. This may include federal and state grants, VA educational benefits, federal student loans, and University scholarships and grants. Notable exceptions include work-study awards and some athletic scholarships.
The University Office of Global Programs also administers a number of grants and scholarships. Eligibility is based on academic excellence and/or financial need. There is also funding available for study abroad programs in diverse locations and for students from diverse backgrounds. In most cases, applicants should have a current year FAFSA on file with the Office of Student Aid. Funding opportunities may also be available through Penn State academic departments.
