You are encouraged to consult this document on a regular basis as it is frequently updated with the most current cost information and billing information available.
Program costs are estimates and subject to change up to the program commitment deadline. If Penn State tuition rates are adjusted for summer 2021, then the education abroad program fee would be scaled accordingly to arrive at the same total billable amount listed on the budget sheet.
Students are assessed the standard University Park Penn State Tuition & Technology Fee, Education Abroad Administrative Fee, and an Education Abroad Program Fee.
The program fee includes:
This program offers the option for six or nine credits depending on courses chosen. The budget sheet on this page demonstrates the costs for the six-credit option. For costs broken down for the nine-credit option as they would appear on your bursar bill please refer to the following table:
Billable Items for 9 Credit Option
Non-PA residents participating on this program will be credited an amount in the Beginning Balance of their semester bills which when subtracted from the Non-PA tuition rate reflects a net tuition equal to the established PA resident tuition rate.
Education Abroad makes every attempt at keeping the program and administrative costs to a minimum. However, when you commit to participating in a program, Education Abroad begins to make financial commitments on your behalf. In case of withdrawal, the following fees will be charged to your Bursar account
Following the start of the summer semester, any adjustment of tuition charges will be made according to the Tuition Adjustment Schedule as determined by the Office of the Bursar. More information can be found on the University Senate Policy on Withdrawal and Leave of Absence.
